COPPA Direct Notice to Parents

This Direct Notice is provided to you, the parent or legal guardian, before we collect any personal information from your child, in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") and the FTC's COPPA Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 312) as amended in 2025. Please read this Notice carefully before providing Verifiable Parental Consent.

2. We Have Collected Your Online Contact Information for One Purpose

You have provided your name, email address, and mobile phone number while creating a parent account in BALL 101. We collected this information solely to (a) obtain your verifiable parental consent under COPPA, (b) notify you about our information practices, and (c) communicate with you about your child's account. If you do not provide consent within a reasonable time, we will delete your contact information.


3. What Personal Information We Will Collect From Your Child

We will not ask for and will not collect from your child: - Last name, full name, or any name other than the nickname you enter; - Date of birth or exact age; - Photographs, videos, or audio recordings; - Biometric identifiers (faceprints, voiceprints, fingerprints, gait data, etc.); - Government-issued identifiers (Social Security number, passport, etc.); - Precise geolocation; - Phone number or email address; - Contact lists or social media information; - School, team, or league information; - Home or mailing address.


4. How We Will Use Your Child's Personal Information

We will use your child's personal information only for the following purposes:

We will not use your child's personal information for: - Targeted or behavioral advertising of any kind; - Cross-context behavioral advertising; - Building a profile about your child to share with or sell to third parties; - Training third-party machine learning or AI models; - Marketing communications; - Any other secondary purpose.


5. To Whom We May Disclose Your Child's Personal Information

We will share your child's personal information only with the following categories of service providers, each of whom processes the information solely on our behalf, under written agreement requiring confidentiality, security, and integrity:

We will not disclose your child's personal information to any third party for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to operating BALL 101. We will not sell your child's personal information.

If we ever propose to share your child's personal information with a third party for a purpose not described above (for example, with a youth-baseball coach at your direction), we will obtain a separate, opt-in Verifiable Parental Consent from you before doing so.


6. How Long We Keep Your Child's Personal Information

We retain your child's personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide BALL 101 and for the purposes listed above.

7. Your Rights as a Parent

You have the right at any time to:

  1. Review the personal information we have collected from or about your child;
  2. Refuse to permit further collection or use of your child's personal information;
  3. Delete your child's personal information.

You may exercise these rights at any time by:

We will respond to your request within 30 days of verified receipt.

We may need to verify your identity before honoring a request (for example, by confirming control of the email address or phone number on file). We will not charge you for exercising parental rights.

If you refuse to consent to information collection, or if you withdraw consent later, your child will not be able to use BALL 101's interactive features that require that information. You may still permit your child to use features of BALL 101 that do not require collection of personal information beyond what is necessary to participate. Today, BALL 101 has no such feature set distinct from the Child Profile, so withdrawal of consent will effectively close the child's profile while leaving your parent account active.


8. STOP Reply Revokes Consent

At any time, you may reply STOP to any BALL 101 SMS we send you. Doing so will: - Immediately revoke your Verifiable Parental Consent; - Immediately invalidate any active child session under your account; - Stop further collection of your child's personal information.


9. How to Give Consent

If you have read this Notice and agree to allow Saga Group LLC to collect, use, and retain your child's personal information as described above, you may provide Verifiable Parental Consent through the in-app Text-Plus consent flow:

  1. Enter your mobile phone number;
  2. Receive a 6-digit one-time passcode by SMS;
  3. Enter the passcode in BALL 101;
  4. Receive our confirmatory SMS, which gives you the STOP option.

Your consent is recorded with a timestamp, your hashed phone number, IP address, user-agent, and our Twilio Message SID.

If you do not provide consent within a reasonable time (typically 14 days from account creation), we will delete the parent contact information you provided.


10. Changes to This Notice

If we materially change the information practices described in this Notice — for example, by adding a new category of personal information to be collected from children or by adding a third party with whom we will share the information for a new purpose — we will provide a revised Direct Notice and obtain renewed Verifiable Parental Consent before the change applies to your child.

Non-material changes (such as clarifications of existing practices or changes in our business address) will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Notice.
